What happens after you submit a profile claim

A profile claim tells MSP Ranked that someone wants ownership access to an existing public listing. The request enters review so staff can protect the profile from unauthorized changes and avoid duplicate account creation.

Guide summary

Claims enter MSP Ranked ownership review, require approval, and only unlock paid benefits after the proper plan is active.

MSP Ranked reviews ownership

The claim workflow is designed to confirm that the requester has a legitimate connection to the MSP.

  • Staff may compare the requester email, company website, role, and supporting context.
  • The claim can be approved, rejected, or held for additional review.
  • Approval should grant the correct profile access without creating duplicate public listings.

Workspace access depends on approval

Do not expect immediate profile-edit access before the ownership review is complete.

  • Approved users can be connected to the partner workspace according to role and account setup.
  • If the claim is unclear, staff may need more information before access is granted.
  • Rejected claims should not expose profile management capabilities.

Paid benefits depend on billing status

Claim approval and Preferred Partner billing are separate concerns.

  • Claim approval confirms profile ownership access.
  • Stripe subscription status controls paid plan activation.
  • AI visibility, richer profile benefits, and routed lead eligibility require the relevant paid state.
